Information on Joining the 720 Team

IATSE Local 720 does not conduct regular scheduled signups. Local 720 has established the following process for adding referents to the dispatch system. This process is divided into 4 steps that must be completed in order.

  Step 1 - Submit a Resume
Resumes may be submitted in person

8AM - 4PM / Monday - Friday
3000 S. Valley View Blvd.

Las Vegas, NV   89102

Step 2 - Wait for a Work Call
When we exhaust our current labor pool you will be contacted to fill a work call position. Please note these calls often are on very short notice. Once you have accepted and completed a work call, and only then, you can move to step 3.

Step 3 - Complete Processing
You will first be required to provide a copy of the paycheck you received for the work performed during step 2 above. Please bring your check or a copy of your check to the front desk for verification. Once your paycheck has been verified you will be asked to fill out a 720 Information sheet. This section must be completed within 30 days of the first day of the work call you received in step 2 above.

The office staff will contact you with a date for you to complete the Union's Math and Measurement Test. You must pass the math test before continuing with your processing. The test covers reading a tape measure, reducing fractions, converting inches to feet and inches, and adding/subtraction of measurements. This test is a 20 question test and requires a minimum score of 70% to pass. You will only be afforded 3 attempts at passing this test. In the event you do not achieve a passing score by your third attempt you will no longer be eligible for enrollment in the Dispatch system.

After you have achieved a passing score on the Math and measurements Test, you will be required to complete a IATSE Local 720 Application and pay a nonrefundable $40 processing fee. Once you have paid your processing fee you will be scheduled for a drug test. You must pass the drug test to be considered for any future employment through Local 720.

Step 4 - Complete Preliminary Training Requirements

The final task you must complete is a mandatory Stage Tech Class. The class is approximately seven days long and will consist of the following:
